replicating an excursion

February 22, 1953 was the only time that the Pacific Electric ran a PCC on the Santa Monica Airline. Fortunately for the Pacific Electric fan, there are at least two pictures of this, one at the West Hollywood  freight station and one at the Santa Monica freight station.

Back in the late 1980’s, Bachmann made a PCC car and decorated it for the Pacific Electric. Unfortunately for the PE modeler, it is a single end car, and has the quality of 1980’s Bachmann. I still have a pair  of these, and the shells still fit on a new, updated chassis. Tonight I decided to duplicate this historical event. I moved around the buildings.
